Two photo's in the museum "Liberating Wings" in Best made an overwhelming impression on Roy.

Shocking photo's from the Buchenwald concentration camp. Roy took these prints to the US to show them to some people over there. These pictures are able to explain the importance of commemoration more than words can.

Another display in the museum. An Allied radio post in front of a Dutch cafe. Passing aircraft at the background and even a 101st. Airborne sign on the facade.
During our visit of "The Island" Roy posed next to a monument that reminds us of the fighting that was going on here during October 1944 in which the 101st, including Easy Company, had a main roll.
Above right: An important spot on The Island is the country-seat "Schoonderlogt", temporary Headquarters of Easy Company during WWII. Beneath of the arch were Dick Winters posed in October 1944.
